In case the Honeygain installer on your Windows device stops prematurely or other issues occur that prevent you from finishing the installation, please try the following possible fixes to check if the issue persists.
1. Please try running the Honeygain installer using administrator privileges (right-click on the Honeygain installer file and then "Run as administrator").
2. In case you had Honeygain installed on your Windows device previously, please make sure you had removed the previous version of Honeygain from your device and then attempt to install Honeygain again.
3. If you are using a PIN instead of a password to log in to Windows, please restart your device and log in using a password instead. Afterward, please try installing Honeygain again.
4. Please disable your antivirus software during the installation process. If you are afraid to do so, you can disconnect from the internet and then disable the antivirus software.
5. Please check if you have any updates available for your Windows system. If so, please install the pending Windows updates and then attempt to install Honeygain once again.
In case these suggestions did not work, please try the following advanced fixes:
- Check if the Windows Installer service is running.
- Use a PowerShell command.
- Re-register vbscript.dll
Check if the Windows Installer service is running.
1. Please press WIN + R keys to launch the "Run" application (alternatively, you can open the Start menu and type in "Run" for the same application to appear).
2. In the "Run" window that appears, please type in 'services.msc' and press the enter key or OK button:
3. Afterward, a "Services" window should appear. In it, please scroll down until you find "Windows Installer" service and double-click on it.
4. On the dialog that appears, press on the "Start" button and apply the settings by pressing "Apply" and then "OK". (Note: in case the "Windows Installer" service is already running, please right-click on the "Windows Installer" service in the services screen (displayed on the third step) and then press "Restart")
5. Attempt to install Honeygain once again.
Use a PowerShell command.
1. Please press WIN + R keys to launch the "Run" application (alternatively, you can open the Start menu and type in "Run" for the same application to appear).
2. In the "Run" dialog, please type in 'powershell' and press the Enter key or the OK button.

3. In the dialog that appears, please copy and paste the following commands and press the Enter key:
msiexec /unreg
msiexec /regserver
4. Restart your device.
5. Try installing Honeygain again.
Re-register vbscript.dll
1. Please press WIN + R keys to launch the "Run" application (alternatively, you can open the Start menu and type in "Run" for the same application to appear).
2. In the "Run" window that appears, please type in 'cmd' and press the enter key or OK button.
3. Type in (or copy and paste) the following command in the dialog that appears and press the Enter key:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

5. Press OK on it and restart your device.
6. Attempt to install Honeygain once again.
