There is currently no fixed traffic rate, as traffic levels fluctuate continuously.
When you join Honeygain, you agree to share a small part of your internet connection with us. This shared connection is then used by Honeygain’s partners. They don’t know who you are, and you don’t know who exactly is using your connection — everything stays anonymous on both sides.
Usually, partners need internet access from a certain country or region, like Brazil or South America. Whether your connection is used or not depends on how much demand there is at that moment and where you’re located. Because of this, not everyone will share the same amount of traffic all the time.
Sometimes there is more available traffic from a certain location than needed. When that happens, we may temporarily reduce how much traffic some users can share. This helps keep the network running smoothly and fairly for everyone. We also limit how many devices can use Honeygain on the same internet connection at once, and in some cases, certain types of connections may be limited. These rules can change, and we always share the latest information in our FAQ.
In rare cases, if you have an account on a streaming platform and a partner accesses the same service through your connection, you might temporarily lose access to that platform. This mostly applies to users who have chosen to use our Content Delivery feature. While we do our best to avoid any negative impact, users are responsible for making sure they can share their internet connection and that this does not break any local laws or agreements they have with other services.
