Your name in Tipalti must match your PayPal account exactly.
Seeing “The account information could not be validated by PayPal”? The names don't match. Here's how to fix it, and how to change your PayPal email.
⬢ Why the error appears
During Tipalti registration, the name you enter must be exactly the same as on your PayPal account. The most common cause is a middle name: Tipalti only asks for a first and last name.
If your PayPal account has a middle name, add it after your first name or after your last name in Tipalti.
⬢ Check your exact name in PayPal
Use a computer for these steps. On a phone, switch your browser to desktop mode.
In the panel on the right with your name, email and address, open the drop-down and choose edit business details. Copy your name into Tipalti exactly as it appears here.
⬢ Can my PayPal email be different from my Honeygain email?
Yes. After you request your first PayPal payout, Tipalti emails you an invitation to register. You can enter a different PayPal email address there, as long as the PayPal account is yours. See how to register with Tipalti.
Use only your own details. The name in Tipalti and the PayPal account must both belong to you, the person receiving the payout. Don't use a family member's or anyone else's PayPal account, or your Tipalti account may be blocked.
